About Therapy

The terms “counselling” and “therapy” are often used interchangeably in BC.

Art therapy uses creative expression as a way to explore emotions, process grief, and gain insight. You don’t need to be an artist—this is about self-expression, not skill. Art therapy can be a helpful tool alongside talk therapy, especially for those who find it difficult to put feelings into words.

Counselling and therapy can be helpful if you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or struggling with loss. It provides a safe space to explore your thoughts and emotions with professional support.

Our first session is about getting to know each other. We’ll discuss your concerns, what you would like to focus on, and how I can best support you. It’s a chance for you to see if we’re a good fit.

This depends on your needs. Some people prefer weekly sessions, while others come biweekly, monthly, or as needed. We can discuss what works best for you.

Payment & Insurance

Session fees are $180 per session (50 minutes). If cost is a concern, please reach out to discuss options.

I do not bill insurance directly, but I can provide receipts for reimbursement if your plan covers counselling therapy with an RCC. Please check with your provider prior to making an appointment.

I accept e-transfer and credit cards. Payment is due before or at the time of the session.

While I specialize in grief and loss, I also work with clients on a range of other concerns, including life transitions, relationship issues, personal growth, and self-reflection.

Yes! I offer both in-person sessions in Victoria, BC and online sessions via secure video or phone across BC. In-person sessions are available upon request in Downtown Victoria.

I do not offer free consultations. Counselling is a collaborative process that takes time and commitment from both of us, and a brief conversation often isn’t enough to truly assess whether we’re the right fit. Instead, I encourage you to read through my website and reach out with any questions before booking.

As a welcome, I offer your first full session at 50% off. This gives us time to connect, explore your needs, and see how we can work together toward healing.

You can book a session by contacting me, sending an email, or clicking here. I’ll get back to you within 24 business hours to arrange a time.

Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged 50% of the session fee. No-shows will be charged the full amount. I understand that life happens, so please reach out if you need to discuss your situation.

Confidentiality & Privacy

Yes! What we discuss stays between us, except in cases where I am legally required to report (e.g., risk of harm to yourself or others, suspicion of abuse or neglect involving a child, senior, or vulnerable adult, or if required by a court subpoena).

Yes, I use a secure, encrypted platform to protect your privacy. Please ensure you have a private space for our sessions to maintain confidentiality.
